I am a very busy Emergency Room nurse in a military hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii that services the entire Pacific Basin. I had a very small collection of postcards when I was a child that has long since been lost! I'm looking forward to receiving any and all types of postcards, especially those that depict the place that you call home, whether it be sights, flora & fauna, animals, historic places, you choose. I would prefer for them to be stamped and written, with maybe a few words or a saying in your native language. I enjoy looking back on them and remembering the friends I've met along the way!
My hobbies tend toward crafty things. I love to sew, quilt, knit and do bookbinding. I've recently begun researching my roots on Ancestry.com. And living here in Hawaii, one of my favorite pastimes is laying on the beach with a good book!
I was born and raised in the Midwest of the US (Illinois), but took a job transfer three years ago here to Hawaii. I have two grown daughters and four grandchildren back in the Midwest. My husband and I love playing hosts to family and friends that come to our beautiful islands to visit.
