Hello there!
My name is Marieke and I live in the Netherlands. I am 41 years old and mother of a son (Floris) born in 2009. My husband, son and I live in a small village called Warnsveld, near Zutphen. Zutphen is a beautiful medieval town in the eastern part of our country.
I work parttime as a psychiatric nurse.
When I am not at work, I like to travel the world (especially to the United States, New York) and the net. I like to watch movies, my favorite one is the Breakfast Club. I also like to visit themeparks; I'm kind of a coaster-enthousiast. I have rode about 195 different coasters all over the world. I collect a lot of cat-stuff, cause I love cats! Not the cute kittens-cats, but the adult ones, with character.
I love to watch TV-series as Alias, Grey's Anatomy, Brothers and Sisters, Smallville, ER, Veronica Mars, Prison Break and Buffy.
My favorite season is winter; not of the snow, but because of Christmas. I've collected ornaments from all my travels, so decorating our tree is a trip to memorylane. I love it!
When it comes to music; I'm quite stuck in the Eighties... what a great era it was! Prince, Pet Shop Boys, U2, the Simple Minds and more recently, Daughtry and Adam Lambert are my kind of music.
My avatar shows Muffin, our beloved cat, who we miss very much. Muffin was very ill and died in 2008. He was with me for 18 years.

* Eighties (music, series, clothing, movies etc)
* USA "State" cards, map cards, NYC, cardinal-bird, Elvis, Johnny Cash, Nicolas Cage
* Traditional clothing from your country
* Local food, drinks... Anything that is typical for your country..

(I'd rather not receive advertising cards, selfmade cards or multiview-cards. And please, please no cards in envelope, I like to see the "journey" of the card :-))
If you are wondering what to write on the card, just tell me something about you, your family, your pet, your favorite movie, food or music, your country or why you chose this card for me. Maybe you can write something in your language (and translate it to me :) ).
