About Marie...

Hello! Bonjour!

I am a 25 years old teacher (of french litterature) and I live in French Guiana

I started to be interested in postcards by sharing them with my sister. When she showed me this site I found the idea stunning. So I'm here to exchange with you.

I find it very good and delightful to send postcards to unknown people in far away countries. It's quite exciting to think about all the trip our postcards do. It's a way to share hapiness and friendship to the world.

In this regard, I am particularly fond of learning languages. Even if I don't speak your language I will be delighted if you write some words (as "hello" or even just the date) in the language you speak. I am really interested in other languages, countries, cultures...

You can write all you want on your postcard, you know it will make me happy :
an anecdote or a story about your country, your city
a little text about how you feel today, about the weather
a recipe of your home
a quote of a book
the music you listen right now
a joke
even a drawing if you want to
...

What do I like and what do I would particularly like in postcards?

- I am a bookworm, I love reading and writing (if you want to write some quotes of a book in your postcard, I would really love it).
-I'm a huge fan of J.R.R Tolkien (all his books and LOTR films)
-I love Doctor Who,
-Wes Anderson and Sofia Copola films,
-anime (studio Ghibli, Michel Ocelot, Paul Grimaut)
-and Bollywood movies

- cute animals (cat, fox, owl, rabbit, deer and roe, llama, hedgehog...),
- tourism cards of landscapes, forest, or cities ( especially Praha, Bruges, Köln, Rothenburg, India, Ireland, and french Bretagne)
- flowers, trees, nature,
- fantasy, fairy tales,
- art (especially Vermeer, Mucha, "Art nouveau", Pre-Raphaelites, Asia),
- history of costume,
- books covers and library picture,
- recipes pictures
- nice doors, buildings
are other things that I would particularly like on postcards. I like beautiful drawings or photos

If you want to send it, Christmas/ New Year cards are welcome in december, january and birthday cards in january.

But any postcard could please me, if you send it with kindness and friendship.

I would be very happy if you put a nice stamp of your country on the postcard, or better on an enveloppe (to arrive into my little town in Amazonia, my mail comes in canoe, on the river. It's a long trip). But if you can't or don't want, it's ok too.

I'm very glad to write, read and exchange our postcards. I feel it like a little happiness that we send and receveice in our letters boxes.
And in our dematerialized world, where Internet domines all, it's good to take again a pen and a piece of paper to write some worlds, to take time for other peoples.

So I'm very happy to find the good postcard for you, to prepare it and send it to you.I hope you'll like it.
And I'm waiting for your postcards as if they were my daily sunshine. Any postcard will make me happy

See you soon in your mailbox or in mine
