About Maria...

I am a happy grandmother for five grand children. I am creative and very curious for everything new. I live by myself on the South archipelago of Finland, on an island, with 550 inhabitants.
My hobbies are oil painting, weaving carpets, writing, reading, home decorating, travelling, photographing, internet, and postcrossing. I have sailed over the Atlantic Ocean from Caribia to Finland with a schoolning scooner Helena with 14 other men and women. Once in a life trip! I love the sea.
I have been travelling a lot:
Scandinavia, Russia, Estonia, Czech, Germany, England, Ireland, France, Sicilia, Italy, Hungary, Austria, Greece, Turkey, Egypt, Israel, Iraq, Acores, Canary Islands, Caribean Islands, USA.

I love Greece. I belong to Finnish-Greec society, which we founded on 1974. I have studied the language a little, but I cannot speak very much. I have practised greec folk dances, also in Athens. I have taken a course in making greec food. I have spended 5 months in Crete on 2009. Greece is my "second home".
