Lautjetien

Hi There,

My name is Lau, which in fact is short for Laurentien, but almost everyone I know uses the abbreviation. Therefore you can do that too.
I am 27 years old and I live with my cat (you can see him in the picture) in an appartment in a small town called Zeist. This is about 10 km east of Utrecht in the middle of the country.

Currently I am working on a novel on the Titanic. It takes a lot of research, which is what takes most of my time right now, but it is worth it. I already got lots of positivity on my idea....

I love going to museums when there are special exhibitions. Most of the time i go and see them with one of my aunts.
Next to that I am interested in music. This has a range from everything between classical and heavy metal.
I take private singing lessons and am also singing in a choir.
Once or twice a year a go on a choir trip with my mother. Every time there are some great classical works
In 2011 we sang a christmas selection in Cologne, Germany.
In 2012 we sang Händels Messiah in southern Germany.
In 2013 we would have been singing an autumn selection in Riga, Latvia, although this trip has been cancelled.

First of all, if you are from Germany, Austria or the German part of Switzerland, please write to me in German.... I think that is one of the simplest ways to practice my reading.

If you don't know what kind of card I would like to recieve, here are some idea's. I might like:

- anything to do with Titanic.
- art
- animals (specific all feline creatures)
- city scenery
- landscapes
- languages (with translation to a language known to me)
- national monuments

Note: I wouldn't really like to recieve cards that have persons on it, with the exceptions of the following
- european royalty
- hollywood, british or dutch actors
- within temptation (Dutch rock/metal band)
- for the swedish postcrossers: ABBA, Pippi Longstocking
- for american postcrossers: If you can find anything from the
little house on the prairie series, i'd love it.
