About Eefje...

Hi everyone
I'm Eefje, which means something like "little Eve" in Dutch. I'm 37 years old and a language teacher. Currently I teach Greek and Latin, classical culture, and Italian. I used to teach a bit of German too, but on a very basic level.
I live in a small university town in the Western part of the Netherlands. In my spare time (if I happen to have any) I like to go dancing. Since I was a kid I've done classical ballet and folk dance, but two years ago I have started Lindy Hop and Balboa, both dances from the Jazz era. I love everything about it: the music, the moves, the people, the clothes. So should you have a vintage (inspired) card of the 1930's or '40, it would really get me extra excited!
Furthermore I like reading (which is always a little dangerous for me: I can easily get lost in a book and completely forget about the rest of the world around) and crafting (especially jewellery). I try to go to a museum and the cinema at least once every month and visit a European city every vacation. Berlin is my all time favourite. It's not all culture and dancing with me: I also love shopping, reading shallow glossy magazines and drinking coffee with my friends.
I love writing letters and postcards. To me receiving something in the mail is like finding a small present on the doormat. But among my friends and family I'm one of the only ones left to actually send out hand written notes, I fear. So I'm looking forward to finding your postcard! No special demands: any card is fine, as long as it is sent from a good heart! But could you please try and write a little bit more than just Happy Postcrossing?
My challenge will be to try and find everyone a card suiting their profile. One thing though: I don't do landscapes and other touristy cards. I'm not keen on receiving them nor sending them. I do enjoy seasonal cards though and anything to do with my hobbies.
Eefje.
