About Marja...
Hello,
I am a 55 years old woman from Finland. When I was young and went to school, I had many letterfriends around the world. Internet was then not available, we just wrote letters. I find postcrossing a very nice hobby, almost like how we wrote to people from other countries for tens of years ago!
Any kinds of postcards make me happy.
Specially I like nature and landscapes, and I love mountains, ocean, moonlight...
I also like history and architecture, for example churches and castles.
I love CATS and other animals.
In December I wish to get beautiful Christmas cards.
One of my dreams is to receive a postcard from Tuvalu, that small and interesting country surrounded by ocean.
I hate expired postcards. I spend time to choose a postcard every time I send a new one, I always try to send the kind of postcard I think the receiver will like. I try to register my postcards immediately if it is possible. I´m happy every day when I have something in my mailbox. But what is the reason for expired postcards? Does somebody "eat" them before they reach the receiver, because I use beautiful stamps and stickers? Would it be safe to use ugly postcards and ugly stamps? At the moment I have 7 expired postcards but I´d have much more, if I had not sent e-mail to those who haven´t registered for some reason. I have sent e-mail every time, I have sent another card to several people - sometimes it helps, but not always. I wish every member of postcrossing could register the postcards in a mean time, so that the sender can send another postcards. And of course, please tell me if it seems that I don´t register postcards that you have sent to me.
Kotimaasta käy ihan millainen kortti tahansa. Saamenmaalla ja sen kauniilla maisemilla on erityinen sija sydämessäni. Joulukuussa olisin erityisen iloinen joulukorteista.
