About Torsten...

Over 2 years of terror in Europe. There is no excuse for russias brutal terroristic attack on a democratic country, for bombing ukrainian cities, for murdering civilians. Putin started the WAR, but supporting it (and him) makes you an accomplice of his unleashed butchers. It is not a political statement to raise our voices for human rights, to demand peace and justice.

Watch the video of the song "Crushed" by Imagine Dragons.

Silence was and is part of the problem.

Good luck and stay strong, people of the Ukraine. 💙💛

Dear reader, Dear member of this wonderful community,
we are passing difficult times, the more I am happy to be part of the wonderful world of Postcrossing, to send and receive a little sign of hope and a short good news with every postcard.

Stay strong, stay healthy, stay optimistic.

And let us Postcrossers be a family of friends.

Thank you Postcrossing for giving me (and everyone of us) the possibility to send and receive a smile and a sign of peace across borders with every card.

Hello,
my name is Torsten, 58-years of age. I'm living in Marienfeld, a little town with about 5000 citizens in the northwest of Germany.

I like sports (mainly football, my favourite team is Bayern Munich), movies, music of many styles.

The german folk-band "Versengold" is my favourite. If you are feeling tired or blue, try to listen to their song "Niemals sang- und klanglos".

I do not have a preference of postcards that I wish to receive, it's up to you. Funny ones, poetry or romantic, add cards (yes, I definately like them, they can tell a lot) or selfmade, weird, erotic. I leave it all up to your choice ! It will just be amazing to find a card in my postbox ! I will like each one that I'm going to receive, because it's from you and it is special already due to that !

It would be nice if you could use some nice stamps.

To read something about you would be great, what you like, what you dream of, what would like to do or see in your life. But just write whatever gets on your mind.

Remember to smile every day, to be happy and to make someone smile and be happy. With your smile, a friendly word, a compliment... or a card send via Postcrossing.

Take your life as a movie: get yourself some popcorn, a drink, some good company if available, lean back and ... enjoy !

Or, as Aerosmith sang: Life is a journey, not a destination.

Have a happy day

Some more words (thank you for your patience to read all my words so far and following)

Some say I'm childish, showing "Kindergarten-behaviour" sometimes, but the Peter Pan in me is still alive. Sometimes I'm sad, quiet, need to be alone. I'm also dark-humoured, romantic, a dreamer. You have to believe in dreams to be able to fly.

We do not have to speak the same language, hearts don't need words to speak with each other. Love is the key to understand and accept each other with all the differences that we have. A rose isn't prettier than a dandelion, they are both beautiful in their own way.
