About Fayre...
I love music, fountain pens, inks - so much I made my business around pens and ink. If you use a fountain pen to write me a postcard, please note which pen, nib and ink you are using - thank you (if this makes no sense, don't worry!)
If you are reading this wondering what kind of postcard to send me I am happy to receive any card (as long as it is not "adult")
My perfect card would be something from your local area - show me a bit of your country or your town....landscape, building, monument, bridge...that sort of thing.
The Moomins are a favourite of my family - if you happen to have a Moomin card we would love to give it a new home!
I would prefer to receive postcards only - not greetings cards or note cards - and no advertising cards please.
Please do write something on the card (tell me a little about your hometown, your favourite book, museum, record...) - or if you prefer, sketch something. Feel free to test my (basic) Finnish, German or French!
I'm about as technically minded as a jar of jam - I don't have the gear or know-how to upload postcard pictures at the moment - sorry! I'm still an analogue person! If you can upload an image of the card you send me I would appreciate it.
Best wishes,
Fayre
I'm most grateful for all the amazing cards I have received - thank you!
Sad to report my first expired card - I sent 3 but none have been registered - GB-239247 : 8th July, 29th July, 18th August 2011 to a Postcrosser in Finland. :-( (No reply when I asked if they'd been received or if the address had changed etc. User is active.)
I hate the idea of expired cards, I really do, it is so sad to think of lost cards trundling around the bottom of the postal system.
