Hi everybody!

I read about postcrossing in a magazine and was immediately enthousiastic. I write cards with one of my friends who lives in London and I am always very happy when I've got mail, so this is an opportunity to receive and send more mail!

My hobbies are cooking, I like the Turkish and Arabic kitchen),reading (esp. historical novels and John Irving), listening to music (pop, rock, soul), going to the movies, theatre or museums. My favourite artist is Alphonse Mucha. And I try to play guitar.

I have two kids (10 and 13) and two cats and one husband. I have studied history and I am currently working for a museum. I was born and raised in Rotterdam, but in 2008 I moved to the smaller town Oosterhout.

I like postcards that have to do with history or art(like old pictures, museum objects, art deco, archeological sites, ancient greek and roman art) and I like humoristic cards, landscapes/ monuments/ important buildings of your country, cards with wild cats (tigers, lions puma's etc.), wolves, bears (panda, polar bear), buddhas, portraits or cards with recipes, but most of all I like to be surprised!
