I am a 61 years young French Lady who moved to a 75 square miles island in the Caribbean in1986 to follow her dreamlife of owning a SCUBA diving business, which I did.
St MARTIN/ST MAARTEN is half French/half dutch, and completely depends on tourism. 80 000 people live here, and has over 2 millions tourists a year , some of them coming by private jets and huge mega-yachts, but most via cruise ships. There are more than 110 different nationalities living here more or less peacefully.It makes life quite interesting, but sometimes hectic.
I am divorced from my American husband, and have a 30 years-old daughter, and 2 grandchildren.

I love Nature, being outdoors, sailing, SCUBA diving, and the Ocean in general.I sailed across the Atlantic Ocean twice in 2009. Right now, I am not working much any longer but I have had many jobs over the past 20 years.SCUBA diving instructor, martial arts (Aikido), yoga, Tai Chi Chuan and Pilates. I have taught English and French to schoolchildren and adults. I am generally into health and fitness. I also like to eat and cook , especially ethnic food. Thai and Indian are my favourite. I like scrapbooking, artjournaling and recycling things. I take photos as a hobby and also volunteer to educate children (and adults) about life in the Ocean and specifically marine mammals (whales and dolphins) This is our site translated in 7 languges.
