About Marc...

Hi everybody out there, my name is Marc, I am a 50+ yrs young medical doctor and I live with my wife and two kids in Detmold, which is a nice little and pretty old town in the northwest part of Germany.

Apart from my family & my work, I love football and groundhopping (visiting different stadiums/football "grounds"), history, and almost everything related to culture.

Traveling around and making new experiences has always been important to me. But I can´t go everywhere, so I think Postcrossing is a great way to hop around the world.

Although I will be happy with every card you chose to send me, I surely have some favs :D
Everything related to sport is great! Stadiums, teams, or else.
The UNESCO world heritage or anything else with buildings, sights, or culture would be great as well.
I also love comics, beer, beautiful people, or art cards.
Anything related to pop culture and I don´t have anything against ad cards if they are special or funny.
And yes: I love maxicards or other stamp-related postcards and also Postcrossing cards in general or from meetups.

You can take a look at my postcard wall favorites as well, to get an idea of which kind of cards I like most. But you should know that there are featured received cards and cards from other users´ walls together. And if your sent card is not featured there, it does NOT mean I don´t like it. I cherish all of the many hundreds of postcards I´ve received so far, with the exception of 2 or 3 -let´s say- rather lousy cards ;-) And sometimes the things that make a card special to me are hidden on the other side!
I mean stamps, design, and your words!

I love stamps since childhood and even started a collection then. With the start of my studies and later work and family, this collection was abandoned. It was revitalized with my signing in at Postcrossing after all those beautiful postcards with special stamps arrived in my mailbox :)
So you can make me happy with any kind of special or commemorative stamp(s).

And I would be very pleased, if you could write something interesting, no matter what. I find the telegraph or holiday card style a bit boring! But if it´s well designed that´s OK for me as well.
I would like to see that the postcard you have sent was actually traveling. that means I´m not a fan of cards in envelopes. If you intend to send me some stamps or else, an envelope would be just fine :)

Just be as you are!

Enjoy your day.

Looking forward to getting in contact with you.
