About Al...

Hey, Stranger!

My name is Al and I have been a resident of Ireland for eight years...and counting! My hobby involves video games, novice photography, listening to electronic music ...and collecting euro coins and postcards!

I collect postcards of all shapes and sizes; regular sized ones, square ones especially panoramic postcards. I don't have a specific criteria for the cards, absolutely anything goes! Although I would really love and it would be EXTRA SPECIAL if you send me:

>panoramic postcards of your city/town/country
>hologram-esque postcards
>postcards of statues, picturesque buildings and breathtaking architecture
>erotic/nude postcards
>science-themed postcards
>anime/manga postcards
>Adventure Time postcards
>futuristic postcards
>goth/emo/punk postcards
>art postcards (renaissance, baroque, pop-art, art deco, vector)
>kaleidoscope design cards
>creative/weird/unusual cards
>postcards with cats
>very funny and humorous postcards
>"rude" postcards ie. cards that have swear words or rude gestures
>emotional or inspiring-themed cards
>super bright and colourful cards
>home-made
>postcards with Dragons
>postcards with lanterns
>TV show or movie-oriented postcards (I love Harry Potter, Game of Thrones and The Lord of the Rings by the way, just saying.)
>Asian-inspired postcards (Ukiyo-e, Nianhua, East-Asia, Islam inspired)
>Postcards with comics
>postcards with squids, octopus, sharks and marine life (except fishes and dolphins)
>video-games related postcards (Skyrim, anyone?)
>music related postcards (album covers are appreciated)
>graffiti postcards (I am a big fan of Banksy)
>"surprising" cards...anything at all that will take me aback!

Please don't send your cards inside an envelope. Also, I am not fond of "map" postcards. I'd rather have a beautiful single view than a geographical map... it looks boring and I'm sure it won't do your place the justice it deserves! For some reason, I also have developed a dislike for multi-view cards... unless it is surprising or REALLY aesthetically pleasing, you can go ahead. But alas, I also find them quite boring and not as lively as a single view postcard (I apologise in advance for being picky).

I'd love to receive stamps from your country! I'd like it if you tell me something about yourself, your work, your daily life, your pets, your hobbies...anything, so I can feel closer to you even if you are miles away. One suggestion I can give is maybe write a little about what music you've just listened to, what mood you are in, what you ate for dinner, some jokes and riddles you'd like to share a million miles away etc etc.

Happy postcrossing! I'm so excited to receive your stamp and card! xxx
