About Deborah...
***Please do NOT email me about cards you've sent to me until it EXPIRES. I like the element of surprise. Some mail to Canada does take a long time. :o) I always register cards the day they arrive, and I scan and upload all my sent and recieved cards.***
ABSOLUTELY NO PRIVATE SWAPS. I let myself do one about six weeks ago. Apparently some people don't know the meaning of the word "swap". So, if you want to do a private swap and you email me, you will be ignored. As the saying goes, "one rotten apple....."
On the bright side:
Hi!
My name is Debby and I'm an avid amateur "picture taker". I love taking pictures of almost anything. I enjoy scrap booking and dabble in Native bead work, making mostly earrings.
I'm from Calgary, Alberta. I'm married and a mother of four grown adult children.
I have been saving postcards since I was a child and love getting snail mail! I do prefer store bought cards(including pictures you took and had professionally printed to look like postcards), over hand-made or free advertising cards. Stamped and written on are much preferred over blank and in envelopes. Tell me a little about yourself and where you're from. :o) I think I've received the nicest postcards ever so far! To give you an idea of what kinds of cards I like, check out "my favourites" in my postcard wall. Or, if you can please send me a Unesco World Heritage Site card from your country. This is a list of WHS's from around the world: http://whc.unesco.org/en/list I also like pictures of old buildings and ruins, as well as people dressed in your countries traditional costume. **Any** card will be loved, if you can't find anything like these though.
If you check out my favourites, think you'll notice I'm a fan of almost everything so whatever you like, I'll like too. :o) I am always floored when I read a persons profile to see how angry they are when they don't get what's on their wishlist. I have preferences, but please send whatever you like. I'll be just as happy that you spent your time to pick something out that you like. A rule of postcrossing is to send 'a' card. You don't have to get what you like.... and you don't have to send what the recipient likes. I think we should all just be happy that we get anything at all. Right? :o)
