About Dalien...
I come from a town called Potchefstroom, where I have basically lived my whole life. I wish to travel the world, but till now that has only been a dream, although I am sure I will get around soon enough! All the postcards I receive will form part of my bucket list wall of places and spaces I would love to visit!
I have a friend in Korea, to whom I sent postcards on a regular basis, although people are always teasing me about it when searching for the right postcard, as the sending of one is a "dead" tradition. I, however, think it is great and was very excited after coming to know of Postcrossing! I am no longer the only "freak" out there who thinks sending postcards are AWESOME!!
A bit about myself now:
I am a white female, living in South Africa and my native language is Afrikaans.
I love the ocean and everything in it! Although I can really appreciate nature in its whole. Loving the outdoors and adventure.
Places I would like to visit, if I am unable to ever go anywhere else in the world, includes Greece and Japan, so I will be particularly excited if I receive anything form there, although I am really not picky and will appreciate postcards from all over!
Hobbies include:
* Watching anime
* I am starting to learn to fold some easy origami
* Sewing and knitting
* I've also recently started home brewing some beer
* Collecting things, like magnets, sea shells and now (again!) postcards!
I collected postcards as a child, although all are unfortunately long gone... This is the best opportunity to restart the collection from scratch, although I already have a few postcards indigiouness to South Africa.
I am currently working and studying full time and would like to become involved in community projects at a later stage.
Well, I think that is enough light reading for now! Hope to receive a postcard from you soon, while also learning a bit about YOU, the sender!
