I want to collect misconceptions that people have - what is a common misconception that people have about your country/city that you want to share?

For example: people think that San Francisco is warm and sunny like typical pictures/videos/etc in California, but it actually is quite chilly all year with the warmest months being September/October and the summer bringing cooler temperatures, fog and wind! It is common to have to wear a coat and hat in June and July :)
