About Chris...

Hello world!
Look at me, I have sent more than 100 postcards! I am very much enjoying Postcrossing.

Any thing that is a postcard, or even sort of like a postcard, is cool to send to me.
My very favorite postcards are:

*Weird images, the weirder the better. Normal is boring.
*Collections of things, multiples
*Hearts
*Roadside attractions (For instance, the giant shoe house in Pennsylvania)
*Art
*goats
*Interiors, rooms grand and not so grand
*Religious art (But I am not religious)
*Anything Italian
*Artistic hand-made cards are welcome
*Interesting ad cards are fine

And thanks to the people of the world for speaking English!

Hi, I am an artist when I am not busy being a responsible person. I make art quilts and art journals. I have two adult children, a daughter with intellectual disabilities (also a postcrosser) and a son who spent 4 years in the Marines and is now going to college. Both live with me, along with my husband who is not their father. Sometimes this is a challenging situation. I have a corporate job that I am extremely burnt out on. (Sometimes I want to stand up in the office and scream) I need to hang in, because I am too old to quit. I also take classes in pursuit of a bachelor's degree. I love working in my garden.

I live in a small town in New Jersey, right on the Delaware River, about 20 miles from where Washington Crossed. Every morning before work, I walk to the bridge in my town. Sometimes I see herons or turtles or fish or ospreys or ducks. Occasionally we see a bald eagle, which is a big thrill. We liked to go tubing on the river when it gets very hot. Tubing is when you sit yourself in a big inner tube and float down the river. There is an old rail bed right next to the river for walking and bicycling. It is also a very historical area and we like that.

I LOVE to travel. I once went to San Diego to visit my son at his base after he came home from Iraq. I went to Iowa to watch my daughter play Special Olympic Tennis for Team NJ. I've been to Nova Scotia. I recently visited Italy, it was the first time I ever used a passport. I absolutely loved Italy. My avatar is me hanging out near the Grand Canal in Venice. I want to visit every country in the world. My daughter and I have decided to visit France for her 30th birthday! My husband and I have been on a few extensive motorcycle trips. One trip took us down Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway all the way to the Smokey Mountains, and another trip around Michigan's Upper Peninsula through Wisconsin and to Minnesota. Also, all over New England to the Adirondack Mountains. We can't get enough of back roads. I really love crazy roadside attractions.
