About Stefan...

Hello! My name is Stefan. I´m a 29 year old single design engineer on the electrotechnical sector. Since 2006 I´m living in a town called Deutschkreutz. In a free translation it could called German-Cross. However my real home is the Seewinkel (Lakes Corner) in the federal state respectively province named Burgenland in the east of Austria nearby the Neusiedler Lake and the border to Hungary. My real hometown is called Illmitz. It´s a small idyllic and calm village (about 2.800 peoples live here). Important economic factors in my home region around the Neusiedler Lake are agriculture (specific wine growing) and tourism. So it´s a wonderful region with a sensible nature, a very shallow lake and a great national park. The area around my home place also is well known as the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Fertö-Neusiedlersee". If you would be there you wouldn´t believe that this region is a part of Austria. It´s a part of Austria without any mountains or hills. The landscape looks like hungarian puszta, russian steppe or american prairie.
I love my home so very much but I´m also very interested in other regions and countries. That´s why one of my hobbies are traveling, Geocaching, doing excursions into the nature, city trips or visiting historical places. Other hobbies are drawing, photography and reading books and magazines about science. I´m also interested in sports like soccer, basketball, icehockey and american football (since a few years Austrian teams are the best in Europe!!!). What I like too is collecting stamps, beer bottles, beer coasters and beer caps from all over the world.

It would make me very happy if you could send me a card with:
- typical impressions of your hometown/city/region
- landscapes of your hometown/city/region
- maps of your hometown/city/region
- flags or coat of arms of your hometown/city/region
- views of stadiums(the kind of sport is equal)
- interesting buildings like castles
- imposant curches
- or other points of interest

The main thing is that this view is showing a part of your home place.

- Dear Postcrossers from Finland: It would be great if you could send me one of the funny hengehog "Kiroileva Siili"-caricatures with a translation of the slogans and sayings.

- Additional you can put beer coasters, beer caps or used stamps into an envelope. That would make me and my collection very happy. :o)

- Please don´t send me drawings, selfmade cards or pictures with animals if it´s possible.

- If you have the chance PLEASE PUT THE CARD INTO AN ENVELOPE and use nice stamps - true to the motto: more is more... I´m collecting stamps and it´s a lot easier to get at the stamps - it would be deplorable if the card become damaged.
