About Blanche...
Hi there everyone,
Like you guys, I also love receiving handwritten messages and picking out cards for you all, hovering between different cards, deciding which one to sent, wondering if you would like it or not. It's just the effort of something "simple" as choosing a card for somebody else, that makes Postcrossing so special for me.
Cards I would enjoy? I think my "favourite wall" says it all. But to get you inspired I'll give you a few ideas:
♥ Vintage childrens(book) paintings (Rudolf Koivu, Ruth Mary Hallock etc., so cute),
♥ Vintage animal postcards (especially oldfashioned drawings of them),
♥ Blossoms (love the colors and smell!),
♥ Cupcakes, cookies and other sweets (delicious),
♥ Coffee (can't wake up without it!),
♥ Artcards,
♥ Books (love reading),
♥ Cute stickercards,
♥ I love glittery, shiny stuff (don't all girls???),
♥ Teacups and teapots (I collect antique ones),
♥ Sewing cards (showing bobbins or vintage sewing machine ads for example),
♥ Cards showing mail (mailbox, cards, letters etc.)
♥ Handmade/drawn cards are very welcome, since I am curious about your creativity!
I must admit, in all honesty, I'm not a fan of tourist cards (cards showing photos with buildings/views of a city). I find them (usually) to be very boring and not colorful at all, sorry! It's just I prefer to see the world for myself in real life.
We love to travel around the world, so any traveltip is always welcome. It would be great to receive insiders tips about places to see, visit or where to eat or drink the best coffee in town! Also, my boyfriend loves mapcards and enjoys receiving my Postcrossing cards as much as I do! So if you happen to stumble upon a mapcard...
Furthermore, about myself: I love cats; (we, my boyfriend and I, are the co-owner of 1 of our neighbours cats and "have" one ourselves) actually, I just love animals. This is probably why I do not eat them and like cooking so much. It makes cooking a bit more creative. We live together in a great house build in 1908, which always needs something done. We call it our project ;0).Well, enough about me, looking forward to picking out lovely cards for you guys and putting a smile on your face.
Wishing you all a happy day!
Blanche
p.s.:
Don't know what to write? How about a recipe, a "must see" in your country, a good book I should read, great music I should listen to, a movie I should see, a museum I must visit etc. Share your joys!
Expired cards?
Well, yes, ofcourse! I always wonder where they ended up and if they made the stranger, who wrongly received this card, smile. I hope so. Or maybe there's a whole "lost postcard" universe somewhere..who knows?
