About Margaret...

Hello Postcrossers

My name is Margaret, I live in Devon in South West England with my husband John. We have a seven-year old cat named Tassie who we adopted from a rescue centre, she only has three legs as she had to have one back leg amputated after being hit by a car. That was before she came to live with us. She is very agile and can run exceedingly fast.

I enjoy doing crosswords and am an avid reader. A friend introduced me to Postcrossing, as soon as I joined I could tell it was going to be one of my favourite hobbies. It hasn't failed me. I have made lots of new friends and look forward to 'visiting' many countries by seeing them on postcards.

My avatar is our previous cat, Pippin, who died after being knocked over by a speeding driver. Having Tassie has helped to ease the pain of losing Pippin. She is a very affectionate little cat and a real 'chatterbox'.

My favourite postcards would be:

Country Scenes
Nature - but not creepie crawlies, please - yuk!
Scenes showing views of where you live.
Flowers - any, but roses are my favourite
Night scenes
Snow scenes
Cats or kittens
Planets and solar system
I don't mind multi-view cards as long as there aren't too many pictures on them
Cartoons - any language. It is usually easy to work out what is being said
Inge Look cards
Winnie-the-Pooh
Jip and Janneke
Jetoy cat
From Czech Republic cards of Little Mole

NO Ad cards, free cards, photos, pictures from magazines or hand-made cards.

If you don't have any of the cards in my preferred list don't worry, all cards will be welcome and appreciated. Except creepy-crawlies of course.

I have just started to collect pretty bookmarks - flowers, birds, 3D ones, anything which you think is pretty. I'm sure I will think it is too.

If possible could you put cards in envelopes as my husband collects stamps, if they are steamed off a card it does spoil the card. Don't worry if you can't manage to do that, we will
understand.

My husband John, would like to say a big 'thank you' to all Postcrossers who very kindly send him such beautiful stamps to add to his collection. Putting them in his album keeps him out of mischief and gives me some peace and quiet, so 'thank you' from me too!!

Happy Postcrossing to everyone.

I register cards on the day I receive them, unless I am on holiday - that would be at most twice a year!

Thank you everyone

Margaret

I am not interested in doing 'swaps' so please don't ask, you will only be disappointed.
