About Jopi...

Hello, dear unknown postcrossing friends,

my name is Jopi (with J - not Topi or Fopi). I was born in Berlin and then I have lived 32 years in the small town Zwingenberg in South Hesse at the Hessian Mountain Road.

In 2015 my husband and I moved to the north of Germany, quite near our grandchildren, born in 2004 and 2006. We now live in the so-called Old Country (Altes Land), only four minutes walk to the dike at the large river Elbe.

I'm retired, last I has worked as resource manager in the biggest German telecommunication company in Frankfurt for 18 years.

Now in my retirement I have time for many hobbies: My grandsons, singing in a choir, reading (newspapers and books), handicrafts (3-D-cards, envelopes, Lucky stars), needlework (knitting - esp. socks and hats, embroidering, sewing), writing letters, work in the garden, making logicals, collecting stamps with lighthouses, ships and art and love recently Washi Masking Tapes.

I collect postcards, especially
- lighthouses
- sailing ships and all maritim stuff
- art (impressionism and expressionism)
- reading children
- children in the rain
- people with red scarfs
- all kind of textiles
- folklore, national dresses
- sheeps (no lambs please)
- chickens
- anything postal
- pansies
- everything that has to do with school
- dandelions
- spiderwebs
- PLEASE no multi-view-cards and no double cards (greetings cards).

Part of the fun of postcrossing for me is to find the right card for the right person.

Please don't use ink pen (the classic oldtime pen, you know) as the mail often gets wet when it rains.
And please write legibly...

Have a nice day!
