Blog > Making Mail: a documentary

Making Mail, the movie about mail art that was started by a Kickstarter campaign last year, has just been released and you can watch it online! It’s one hour long, and filled with mailart loveliness and inspiration.

Don’t you feel like grabbing your crafty supplies and some old magazines to dress up that plain envelope? Go for it! :)

This is great and I did sort of make but I had a pen pal for 13 years and making mail art is fun just use your imagination and not say I can't draw it doesn't art is art

Absolutely inspiring. I mostly made my envelopes out of old magazines but rarely designed the bits inside. Often there was so much to write and so little time. But I will change that now, I think.
But keep sending it, everyone.
Loved the one comment in the film:
"You don't need a reason to be nice. Just start!"

It seems that for some countries watching the documentary through the provided links don't work (also for Austria).
The documentary is also on YouTube - simply type in 'Making Mail', the first hit should be the documentary.

A million thanks for showing people many more creative ways to show that you really care. Spending time to write some thing in a beautiful way craves for attention and it automatically brings closer to the person. I didn't know I was doing the same thing and it is called as MAIL ART. Now back to drawing board and make some one happy.
