Hello from Texas! My name is William... I was named after the great Southern writer William Faulkner. Unfortunately... I am not a great Southern writer. I live in a city called Dallas... at the center of a large metropolitan area of 7 million people in North East Texas. I have lived here all my life except for when I was at college. I am married and have two children age 17 and 20. We live in a modest "1950's Ranch Style" home in an neighborhood called "Old Lake Highlands." We have one dog... a Boston Terrier named Little Bear. I am allergic to cats. My work for the last fifteen years has been raising my kids... first as a "Stay at Home Dad" and then also as "Homeschool Teacher." I fancy myself an amateur photographer and an avid gardener. You can see some of my photographs on instagram.... @about15lbs. The climate in Texas is extreme... cold winters... hot summers... extreme humidity and drought both are common. Gardening here is rewarding... Texas plants are amazingly tough... like the people. I have a degree in Anthropology... but have never had much use for it... anthropologists are mostly obsessed with the differences between peoples... I can't help always noticing how much alike people are. God's blessings.
