Hello / Salama / Bonjour / Mabuhay / Hola Everyone!!

So I just finished saving the world and have returned to the US after 4 years of living in Madagascar -- okay I wasn't REALLY saving the world but I was trying... and traveling, and learning new languages and immersing myself in new cultures. I LOVE traveling but now that I'm back home and job searching, it'll probably take some time before I can save up enough for the next trip. So voilà - traveling vicariously through your postcard.

I am a collector of random and sometimes useless facts that you'd only really know if you traveled to a place yourself. Feel free to write me whatever you feel like on your postcard, but if you really want to make an impression please tell me about a:

- bizarre/strange food/drink that you/people in your country like to eat/drink, - OR -
- interesting superstition / old wives' tale [ex. the witches in Madagascar, or mpamsavy, could be scared off by throwing chickpeas at them; or in the US, buildings sometimes don't have a 13th floor because this number is associated with bad luck], - OR-
- your personal favorite beer/beverage from your country [i.e. My favorite beer was a blonde beer called Castel...]

I'll take any post card except Homemade / Advertisement cards. I'd love:
- art (Monet, Van Gogh, any artist you enjoy)
- landscapes (deserts, beaches, mountains, etc.)
- black & white
- exotic birds/flowers
- ocean / marine themes
