My name is Victoria.
I live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in the United States.
My city has many beautiful parks and is located right next to Lake Michigan.
I love to travel and have been to 46 of our 50 states.
My world travels include Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, England, France, Italy, Belgium, Spain, Austria, and Africa.
I love books and spend a lot of time reading. I was the librarian at the elementary French Immersion school in my city. I was also a teacher's assistant for 3 and 4 year olds with special needs. Such a joy! One of my favorite jobs ever was being a bookseller for 13 years at an independent bookshop. It was like being a kid in a candy shop.
I have a degree in Biology with an emphasis on ecology.
I enjoyed working as a pharmacy technician at Children's Hospital.
I also love to cook, garden, watch movies, go to the theater, listen to classical music, ride my bicycle and take walks in nature.
I have a daughter who is going to school for a degree in criminal justice and a son who is a firefighter.
I love the PEANUTS and FAR SIDE comics!
I write poetry for adults and books for children.
Some of my other favorite interests are:
history, art, cemeteries, photography, astronomy, aviation, wine, tennis, hockey, snow, architecture, interior design, buddhism and animals.
I also like anything to do with the book ALICE'S ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND.
I have had 2 wonderful cats named Eamon and Winter. I named Eamon after a character in one of my favorite movies, THE SECRET OF ROAN INISH.
One of my favorite things to do is write and receive handwritten letters in the "snail" mail.....so I am very excited about this fun website.
