Hi my name is Tracy and I'm a 48-year-old married mum of a teenage son and daughter (17 and 14 years old). We also have a four-year-old pet shihtzu dog named Holly (we adopted her during the Christmas season).

I live with my family in the suburbs of Manchester, a city in the North of England where I was also born and raised. It is a great city, well known for its welcoming down-to-earth people, industrial history, scientific discoveries and inventions, arts, culture, music, football, and a lot more besides. The town, where I live, is a great place to bring up a family. It is only a short tram ride away from the city centre, and very close to the surrounding Cheshire countryside. We can drive to the coast or the English Lake District within a few hours and are also only a two-hour train journey away from our capital city of London.

I work as a freelance transcriptionist, and am also currently studying part-time for a BSc Honours degree, as a mature student. It has always been an ambition of mine to graduate with a university degree, which unfortunately I didn't have the opportunity to achieve when I was younger. So, I decided to go for it now! I am finding the learning experience to be very rewarding and enjoyable so far :)

My hobbies and interests include playing the piano, reading, listening to all genres of music, cinema, attending live music concerts, and going to see musical theatre shows both in Manchester and the West End of London. I enjoy traveling, both at home and overseas, and also find it fascinating to learn all about new countries, and daily life in other parts of the world. I have a growing collection of fridge magnets from the various cities/countries we have been to. Some I have been lucky enough to visit over the years are Florida, New York, Washington D.C, Belgium (Brussels), Denmark (Skagen and Copenhagen), Estonia (Tallinn), Finland (Helsinki), France (Paris and Nice), Germany, Italy (Rome and Sorrento), Monaco, Netherlands (Amsterdam and Rotterdam), Norway (Fjords, Oslo), Portugal, Russia (St. Petersburg), Spain, Sweden (Stockholm), and Switzerland (Interlaken and Basel).

I really would appreciate any theme of postcard but especially would enjoy seeing postcards of your local town and its landmarks, home country, or other places of interest.
