About Sarah...

Hello everyone,

I joined postcrossing because I lost my Grannie to cancer in January 2015, and we used to exchange letters and cards because she lived many hundreds of miles away. When she died I stopped getting ‘snail mail’ and had no cause to send it which made me very sad. So exchanging ‘real’ mail with you is my way of spreading the enjoyment I used to get from sending and receiving post from my Grannie and every card/ envelope I send is stamped with a green butterfly in her memory – quite simply because she loved butterflies and her favourite colour was green.

I will appreciate every card I receive, so please don’t worry if you don’t know what to send! I will write a list of ideas below because when I am sending a card I find it much easier when the person has a list and I love to try and find something that they will really enjoy. However, once again, if you don’t have anything matching these ideas, please just send something you like – surprises are sometimes the best cards of all!

***Please, please write on the card – I don’t mind what you write! Tell me about your country, culture, language or just yourself! I did a degree in Social/Cultural Geography so I find anything to do with places and people interesting. Tell me what you're reading, or what your favourite something is, your favourite place, what you did today, something funny that happened - anything at all that you want to tell me :)!

I can read and write in German and am trying to learn Swedish so would appreciate cards in either of those languages!
