Hi from a German expat living in the US of A for almost 2 years.

First of all - re. PRIVATE SWAP: I love private swaps for my favourite cards, used or mint stamps, FDC and the like, coins, and possibly fridge magnets (or anything else we agree on based on mutual interests). I strongly prefer to send private swaps in envelopes and only if it`s sent at the same time. No first swap from me, than yours, sorry. Experience shows that it`s mostly not working :-(

* homemade picture postcard made by you according to my favorites

* mapcards - not exactly my favorite, but if you have nothing else from my favorites, feel free to send :)

* Maxicards with my favourite themes

* animals/birds/wildlife/bears/butterflies/cats/underwaterworld etc that are natives in your country/region and showed in their natural habitat; real view, not painted

* teddybears (stuffed ;)

I do NOT like:

*religious cards (=religious paintings, art, illustrations, holiday cards aka Christmas/Easter etc (yes there are people who do NOT celebrate these days!), cards with religious/biblical sayings etc etc)

* cards with a church, cathedral, basilika, dome, chapel, monastery ... - you name it - especially no single building cards. I can not take any of these, so please dont send it, thanks.

* ad-cards, holiday cards, birthday cards

* card with art/painting/cartoons etc.

You can send your card written and stamped or in an envelope since we are collecting nice stamps too (but please no worries if its not possible!I am happy either way) :-)

People from Germany or German speaking people: it would be nice if you could write the card in English instead of German, my husband only understands English, thank you!!! :-) Leute aus Deutschland oder deutschsprachig: es waere sehr nett, wenn ihr in englisch schreiben koennt, mein Mann versteht nur Englisch!
