About Amanda...

Hello! My name is Amanda and I live on the coast of Maine, in the far Northeastern USA. I am interested in the outdoors, history, art (particularly mail art and book art), language, and travel.

Any card you send I will treasure....i invite you to surprise me!

Preferences include, but are definitely not limited to:

-trees & flowers
-public transportation (trains & buses & subways & ferries & so on!)
-handmade cards
-museums
-nature, landscapes & the changing seasons
-vintage cards
-black and white images
-interesting faces
-historic hotels/inns
-anything to do with reading & writing (books, people reading, libraries, typewriters, pens)
-cards with 한글 (Hangul) on them (I am attempting to learn Korean and need the practice!)
-dachshunds and kitty cats
-turtles, frogs, salamanders, birds and all other wild animals & sea life
-extreme weather phenomena
-truly bizarre & uniquely sourced cards
-historic attractions
-maps (especially pictorial or transit)
-postal system related cards (mailboxes, stamps, etc)
-bicycles
-things unique to your culture or region
-beautiful art cards

My favorites wall is a mix of cards that I have received and cards I have spied while clicking around the site that have particularly appealed to me . I don't consider it a wish list, but it does give a sense of what types of cards I am drawn to aesthetically and thematically. Take a peek if you want!

Messages are just as important to me as the image on the card. I would appreciate a quick word about you: your favorite things about where you call home, foods you love to eat, places you like (or would like to) explore, your dreams, your favorite flower, a quote from a book you love or anything else you would like to share with me. Little drawings are also appreciated!

Thanks very much and I look forward to your card making its journey into my mailbox and hands!
