About Laurie...

Anita from Thailand, you didn't include your ID.

I collect worldwide used stamps not postcards. So, it is not necessary to spend a big amount of money on a beautiful postcard. So you can send something simple and cheap. I will enjoy the beauty of the card, then cut it up for the stamp and two bookmarks.

I am an instructor in a university Registered Nurse School. I am a widow, with grown children. I love crafts of all kinds, including doing projects with the damaged stamps I end up with. I sew, crochet, and do paint by the number. I love to read and do so all the time, especially sci-fi/fantasy. I am currently reading R. Jordan's Wheel of Time series. That ought to keep me busy for a year. I guess from the picture you can tell I am also a Dr. Who fan. I have been since I was young and am delighted with the modern Dr. Who series.

I love movies, old movies, animated movies, everything except horror. I mean the blood-crawling on the ceiling type of horror. I love Frankenstein, The Mummy, etc. but not Freddy Kruger...

I saw the project, today from the lady who made a quilt from all over the world out of pieces of material that postcrossing members sent her. I would LOVE to do that. If you can, please send me a piece of cotton, colorfast material 5 inches by 5 inches or bigger (12.7 cm by 12.7 cm).

If you can't send something that big...don't worry about it; I can piece several together and make a larger square from them. What fun. When I get it done, I'll post it here, just like she did!

If you can't, then having your postcard telling me a little about yourself or the area where you live would also be lovely.

Please don't give my name to advertisers/or name lists. I never answer those things and it is annoying. Thank you.

Well, that's about it. Have a great day. I look forward to getting a postcard or piece of material (or both) from you.
