About Alex...

Hello, I'm Alex! I live in Cambridge, a city near Boston famous for universities like Harvard and MIT as well as biotech research (many of the companies making COVID vaccines are headquartered here)

About Me:
* I love learning about culture and languages
* I love music and would appreciate it if you could recommend me a song, especially if it's in your native language. I like indie, 80s, post-punk, and electronic music (my current playlist is linked above :)
* I used to collect stamps and I look at the stamp on every postcard
* I collect metro maps, train tickets, and coins, so if you feel extra generous, I'd love it if you could send some!
* I like studying calligraphy & different types of handwriting (Kurrentschrift, etc)

You can write about anything, but if you're having trouble thinking of what to write, you can tell me about a landmark in your city or area and the history behind it! I'm fine with pretty much anything, even ad cards. Sometimes I like them even more than normal cards because I get to see your language written. Some recommendations for postcard covers are:

* Tourist-y postcards (Multi/Singleview)
* Maps (Metro too!)
* Retro ad campaigns / Propaganda / WPA art
* Contemporary & Abstract art
* Landscapes
* Architecture / Design
* "Greetings From..." cards
* German Ortsschild-Postkarten (I have a map of my received ones here: (https://bit.ly/2F9wIfm)
* Famous buildings/parks near you
* Flags
* Anything you think would look good pinned on a wall :)
Happy Postcrossing!

** I have a huge (400+) Google Maps list of places, restaurants, and towns I find interesting, in case I ever happen to be nearby and want to visit! If you write down one of your favorite/most interesting/obscure places in your area, it might end up on the list! **

Falls du Deutsche Kurrentschrift weißt, bitte schreib mir!

If you speak one of the languages I speak, it would be great if you could write in that language (German, Russian, Spanish, Japanese, Arabic). Even if I don't understand it 100%, It's still good practice to read and translate what I don't know :)
