I am married (for 55+ years) to Deanna, my high school sweetheart. We have 2 grown daughters, 2 grown grandsons, 1 granddaughter-in-law and 2 grand daughters. I was born in Texas near the town of Amarillo and have lived in Arlington (between Dallas & Fort Worth, and Houston, Texas. I have also lived in Atlanta (twice), Boston, outside Los Angeles and in SanFrancisco.

I now live in Northern Colorado, USA in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains on our Skelton Mountain Dream Ranch (for the past 26 years). My father instilled a love of the mountains in me and what boy in the US doesn't dream of having horses. I raise Pure Spanish Horses (Andalusians) for competitive Dressage.

My main present hobby is hiking/climbing. I have climbed all of the 14,000+ feet mountains in Colorado (54). In addition, I have hiked the 485 mile Colorado Trail from Denver to Durango. In the past I loved to fly and had my private pilot's license with an instrument rating.

I love to travel. In the past few years, we have been to Hawaii; Peru (Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley); Galapagos, Ecuador; Mainland Greece and the Greek Isles; and just this last fall 18 days in China. In the distant past, I have visited Alaska, Spain, Costa Rica and Mexico several times. I have also traveled to the majority of the US National Parks. My bucket list places are Italy, Patagonia, New Zealand and a river cruise in central Europe.

I also love to read historical fiction as well as mysteries.

I have also been the Chairman of the Board of the Ensight Skills Center (a non-profit for Low Vision Rehabilitation) (11 years) and am currently the President of the Colorado Women's Sports Fund Association (a non-profit supporting and promoting females participating in sports)
