About John...

"Hi! If you are reading my profile because you received a postcard from me, please know that I spend a lot of time, effort and expense by decorating the back of the card. I really enjoy doing it. I use a lot of rub on transfer decals. They look great! They look (and feel) like they are printed right onto the card. I hope you enjoyed my card."
John

Hello! I live in the Los Angeles area with my lovely wife. We met on an on-line dating service (plentyoffish.com) and have been married for 14 years. She is undoubtedly the best thing that's ever happened to me. All of my friends and family tell me how wonderful she is and how lucky I am to have found her. I like cycling, hiking, bingo and freshwater fishing. I am also a member of Geocaching. It is a high tech treasure hunt game/activity using handheld GPS receivers to locate hidden containers (now with smartphones, there is a geocaching app). The container has a logbook that you sign with your username, then you put the container back in it's hiding place for the next cachers to find. You download the cache information into your GPSr, including Latitude/Longitude then follow the arrow to the location. Once at the location you hunt for the container using the cache's description and hints. It's a great way to get out and explore the outdoors and most of the time it will take you places you would not have normally known about. It's also a great adventure for kids and they will learn about navigation. These caches are hidden all over the world and as a member, you can hide a cache for others to find. There are so many caches that if you type in a search using your address, I guarantee there are caches near your home. It is free to become a member, just go to www.geocaching.com and find out more about it.

After being a member for 5 years, I am finally requesting a certain type of card: PAINTINGS! I love any kind of painting and am requesting them on either postcards or stamps or both. Thank you in advance.....
