Hello! I'm Sam, and I live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I grew up in the Seattle area but have also lived in San Francisco, Chicago, London, and Manhattan. I really love the Puget Sound, the estuary that Seattle overlooks. It's home to porpoises, seals, dozens of species of fish, whales, and the world's biggest octopus! I live in constant awe of Mt. Rainier, the active volcano known to locals as "the mountain." On a clear day catching sight of its snow-capped peaks makes my heart skip a beat.

I'm an avid reader: this year I hope to read 65 books! I'm a big fan of historical fiction, mysteries, horror, and fantasy, although I'm trying to read more non-fiction. I also love to bake, take walks, and swim (in the Puget Sound).

Over the past year I have become an enormous fan of K-pop sensations BTS. Their music is incredible; they're elite dancers and performers; and they inspire their fans to "love yourself." (My bias is RM and my bias wreckers are j-hope and Jin!) I've also gotten into Blackpink and ENHYPEN.

My other great passion is watching movies. My best friends and I have a weekly horror movie club where we stream a scary movie together. Highlights have been Silence of the Lambs, Alien, and Rear Window.
