About Iris...

Hi! I'm Iris, an Asian-American female in my mid-30s, born in California who then moved to Texas at the age of 8. I...
- am married, was a stay-at-home mom for 4 years to a daughter (6) and son (3), but back in the work force again.
- have been a vegetarian for 10 years now; the entire family follows the same diet.
- just started gardening in late March 2022 (tips welcome from seasoned gardeners!)
- collect and use fountain pens
- love food, snail mail, learning, and traveling (and reading and movies/tv shows but it's near impossible with young kids... I don't like being interrupted, haha). I do read fanfiction when I get the chance, though.
- prefer the cold and the color green

So far, I've been to 11 US states/district, Western Canada, Belgium, England, France, Macau, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, South Korea, North Korea (DMZ), and Japan. I've lived abroad twice: (1) Beijing, China, as a student and (2) Daejeon, South Korea, as an English teacher.

Despite how chatty I am online/on paper, I'm very much an introvert and tend to be socially awkward with new people (even more so since the pandemic O_O). If you follow Meyers-Briggs, I'm an INTP. I'm also a Slytherclaw. :)

I love all kinds of postcards but my favorites include:
- Unique postcards
- Food-related postcards (recipe cards are welcome as well - even if I can't eat it!)
- Something that'll (hopefully) teach me something (new)
- Ideas for my next trip
- Nature/scenery from your country
- Animals (dinosaurs and dragons included)
- Fountain pen-related cards??
- Forensics and other more morbid topics
- Fun/meaningful quotes
- Postcrossing cards!
- Anything you really want to send (and tell me why you like it!)

Please try to write something more than a "Happy Postcrossing" and date the card. :) I truly enjoy learning about you as a person as well as where you live, so do share! I also love looking at all the stamps from all the different countries, so if you have new/special stamp(s), please use them. If there’s room, I'd love to learn something in your native language!

Can't wait to hear from you soon!
