About Sherry...

Hello! My name is Sherry and I live in California. I work as a website designer and spend my days working from home. Postcrossing is a fun and affordable way for me to see the world. I would love to learn about you/your country in whatever way feels comfortable to you, so If it's easier for you to write in your native language, feel free to do so! I do prefer envelopes as the USPS is oddly rough with postcards, but no envelopes are fine as well.

My hobbies include stamp collecting, reading, watching movies, listening to music, and photography.

Things I like:
- animals: bees, bunnies, hummingbirds, dragonflies, jellyfish, penguins, koalas, foxes, turtles, elephants, owls
- dogs (corgis, dachshunds, cavalier king charles spaniel, bulldogs, golden retrievers)
- architecture (castles, Victorian, Gothic, Renaissance, Romanesque, Baroque)
- vintage cars and cameras
- photography
- vintage hotel/motel ads
- space, planets
- Maxicards
- Peanuts/Snoopy
- Scooby Doo
- Toy Story
- Finding Nemo
- Winnie the Pooh (specifically Eeyore)
- Jane Austen
- art (specifically van Gogh, Monet, Klimt, Hopper, Degas)
- stamps
- landscapes/nature
- lighthouses
- metro/train systems
- flowers
- ferris wheels
- Doctor Who, Back to the Future, Harry Potter

Postcards from/about your country or culture are most welcome. I am also an avid stamp collector, I would love whatever stamps you're willing to share with me.

Are you an artist? I would love a handmade postcard from you! Drawings, paintings, photographs - if it's your art, I would be honored to receive it. Heck, you could send me a postcard with your dog's paw print and I'd probably cry my eyes out.

Ultimately, whatever you send is completely your choice, I will be happy regardless. I only ask that you avoid anything with clowns, mimes, or garden gnomes (childhood fear that has annoyingly stuck with me into adulthood)

If you don't know what to write on the postcard, here are some ideas: what is a favorite childhood memory? what movie/tv show have you been obsessed with recently? tell me what album you believe to be perfect and why you think so. what song has been stuck in your head lately? what is your favorite book and why do you love it so much? in your opinion, is a hotdog a sandwich?
