Hello friends! My name is Amanda and I am an ESOL teacher (English for Speakers of Other Languages). I have a husband named Bobby and a cat named Sushi. We live in the Gem City, also known as Dayton, Ohio, USA!

I have been studying Spanish for 12 years and I try to learn something new every day. I would love to learn how to say hello in your language(s).

I’d love to learn how you and your family celebrate holidays, go to school, and prepare food. Speaking of food, it is an important part of my life- I love to cook. If you have a tasty recipe that fits on a postcard, please feel free to share it!

As a person of faith, I would love to hear about your religious traditions and celebrations. If you are not a person of faith, do not feel obligated to write about that :)

Just a few notes about me- I collect postcards, stickers, stamps, and washi tape. If money were no object, I would open a postcard/stationery shop with a café attached. Grab a latte, write a letter ;)

In my profile picture you can see my husband. He works as a web developer. He is very different from me- he’s more quiet and reserved while I am more outgoing. We met at university and connected through our shared Christian faith. He’s my best friend and we spend lots of time together cooking, going for walks, and watching Hulu/Netflix. We dream of starting a family sometime in the future!
