I love reading, news, politics, scandals, writing, letters, stories, articles. In the afternoons when it’s sunny or even when it’s raining like to look after my flowers in a huge communal garden around my flat here in Bournemouth. The town is right by a very long sandy beach.

I enjoy music, mostly classical, opera, orchestras, live or on the radio. I am a big fan of BBC radio 3 which can be heard worldwide. Sometimes I take my pocket radio into the garden so I can enjoy 2 of my favourite things at the same time.

I am interested in all cultures and ideas but especially political news from around the world. Insights, curiosities, oddities, strange things. Tell me your news,

I like books about subjects I know nothing about and books about dystopian societies. George Orwell etc, about life in other countries. I am also writing a book myself, an historical novel.

Would love to send and receive cards from countries like Niger, Chad or Papua New Guinea. Any country that has few members on here. Would be great if that would be possible .

Political stories, cartoons, satire. Home made from cuttings, cartoons from your local newspapers, local news stories about unusual things happening in your locality. Send me the strangest most peculiar thing you’ve got to hand in your home. What may seem ordinary to you can be exotic to me. .
