About Dawna...
Howdy from South Texas. I am married to my darling Teddy Bear. We have 4 dogs, 4 to 5 cats, and 3 birds. I love to travel and collect postcards. I also love to collect teddybears from where I visit. My little town, Beeville is named after Barnard E Bee, Sr who was our Secretary of Treasure (1836), then Secretary of War (1837-1838) and finally Secretary of War (1839) for Texas. I am a bit of a history buff. I also love Science and am currently attending college full time. I hope to become a Science teacher for middle school aged children.
When I am not working for the State of Texas, you can find me pen palling, reading, or mostly studying. I am interesting in geocaching and have started doing geocache hunts locally. I like to leave stickers or painted rocks depending on the site.
I love to read biographies, cozy mysteries and Christian fiction. I will read anything if it strikes my interest. I am passionate about my community. I am a proud American and I love to serve my brothers and sisters in the community. My job allows me that opportunity. I help process applications for nutritional assistance and for medical care.
I love to sing! I sing at church and I sing with the Sparkling City Sweet Adeline Show Chorus. I love to perform beautiful and fun music.
I am intrigued by local customs, food and music. When I travel, you can find me checking out small “mom and pop” restaurants. Because I want a true sense of the culture and food. I also love to go to history museums.
The only thing I ask for from my post crossing pals is to be intentional in your post card choice for me. Have a sense of purpose for sending it to me and tell me what made you think about sending me that particular card.
Much love from way down South Texas! <3
