About Sabra...

Hello. My name is Sabra. I live in Denver, Colorado, USA. The population of the Denver Metro Region is 2-1/2 million. The entire State's population is 5-1/2 million. Eighty percent of the State's population is on the east side of the Rocky Mountains. Our mountains are described as the American Switzerland. We have 52 peaks whose elevation is 14,000 feet or higher, the most famous of which is Pikes Peak near Colorado Springs, about 70 miles from where I live now. I did live in Colorado Springs for 15 years. I love Colorado and have been in the State for 21 years. I spent a lot of my life in New Mexico and travel there quite a bit. It is next to Colorado. It has a wonderful culture. Only 45 miles from where I spent most of my years in New Mexico, driving through Texas, you can drive or walk in to Juarez, Mexico. It is not nearly as safe as it was when I was young, though, so we don't go anymore. My daughter, however, goes to Mexico often from Arizona.

I am a Registered Nurse. I have worked mostly in the Emergency Department for 30 years. I retired from nursing three years ago, though, and am getting used to being retired.

I am an artist. I used to have a pottery studio and made pottery for 12 years. I became interested in watercolor painting and ended up going that direction. I love to paint and have won a few awards. I also love flowers and gardening, cooking and baking, music, reading, kids, and animals. I have a precious dog. I had another precious dog whom I lost two years ago.

I have been married for 38 years. I met my husband in the Fire Department many years ago. I was the first paid female firefighter in New Mexico at the time. That was a lifetime ago but a very exciting time. We have four grown children and nine grandchildren.

I am looking forward to connecting with people from all over the world, including those from right here in America. I am not particular about the cards I receive. I would like to have a postcard that YOU like. I am now on the lookout for postcards everywhere I go. I am looking forward to hearing from you.
