About Reisa...

Hello! I'm Reisa. I was born in Medan, Indonesia.
Then I grew up in China, from 2003-2013 because my father's work got move to China. I'm an international student studying in the USA starting from 2013 (college) till the present (PhD). Currently live in San Antonio, Texas, pursuing a Ph.D. (in statistics) and graduating soon.

I have lived in multiple places:
-Perawang/Pekan Baru/Jakarta (Indonesia)
-Haikou, Hainan Island/Shanghai(China)
-Eugene, OR/ Orlando, FL(USA)

For kids like me, who have been moving to different cities/countries, I always hope one day I can stay in the same house and live there for 20 years like a bird finally landed with a home. I'm graduating in 2025, and I'm looking for a faculty job at the university. It's kind of stressful (it should be!) because it's never easy to get a job & stay as a foreigner (well, this degree makes me cry too much and I'm gonna beat this !!!!).

My bf & I took over a sushi restaurant (mainly my bf). I watch Anime and I love sushi, I know a little bit of Japanese, but we've never been to Japan. I always wanted to travel to Japan, so I often intentionally booked a flight that stopped at Japan (airport) when I back to Indonesia from the USA. We have no experience in the restaurant business, but things running well and hopefully be better. It was a pretty cool testimony.

I'm happy to hear more stories if you have any common experiences with me, and if you would like to share yours.

2024 is an important sprint year, and we both hope to finally be stable in our careers and move to the next step in life. I rewrite this entire Bio and would like to kindly ask for advice, experiences, encouraging words, and prayers. I'm not the youngest postcrosser, but still, I have way more things to taste in my life. I believe any kind words & life experiences from all over the earth from YOU would encourage us a lot!! <3 <3 <3

If you want to specially choose a postcard for me: Travel, City map, universities, Birthday, Maxi-Card, Postcrossing meetup, but anything is totally fine. Envelopes, souvenirs, stickers, handmade, and coins are welcome! If you have a lot of things to say, you can write me a letter <3

Feel free to write a postcard if you know Mandarin (Simplified/Traditional), Korean, or Bahasa Indonesia.

~Appreciate it if you could PLEASE sign it with the DATE and CITY location~
~Thank you for all of your time writing me postcards and your warm greetings ~

p.s.: Whenever I visit a new place, I will buy postcards for my postcrosser so you may receive postcards from other cities I travel
