Hi - I am a 68 y/o retired pharmacist. I started Postcrossing after it was mentioned in one of my stamp collecting magazines. I am now hooked. I love watching the mail each day to see if a new card has arrived. Other than my family, my passions are live theater (I see about 50 live performances a year), astronomy (for a number of years I participated in a series of on-line college courses hosted by Swinburne University in Australia), birding (everywhere I travel, my binoculars and a field guide accompany me), stamp collecting (my collection is engraved stamps from the British Caribbean), geology (I must have been a vulcanologist in another life), and hiking (which gets me in the out-of-doors and complements my birding).
Postcards I enjoy:
Anything related to Volcanoes
Local Wildlife - Birds - Flowers - Mammals (No insects, please)
Anything to do with Theater
From Germany, Gerhard Glueck cards.
Pictures that record historical events.
Whatever you are passionate about
