I was born and raised in Oregon, but have lived in Texas for 18 years and I love being here! I spent seven years teaching middle school special education, and am in my third year as lead special education teacher at one of the feeder elementary schools. I am fortunate to work with an incredible staff and support fantastic students!

I have an 11 year old son named Nolan that I adopted from foster care June 27, 2013. I picked him up when he was 10 weeks old and he never left. He's the greatest joy in my life :)

I have traveled to many different places, including Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Australia, Mexico, and Canada, so these places hold a special place in my heart.

Any postcard you send will be great; to give you some ideas of what I have come to like:
Native people/animals/flowers/clothing/cultures/landscapes
Recipes of a local or native dish
Royal families (if you have one)
Famous artists/children's books/illustrators of your country
(Irina Zeniuk is one I have come to like)
Local festivals/attractions/holidays
Flag/map cards
Churches/Religious symbols or buildings
Ad cards, especially if they are written in another language
Handmade cards if you are an artist or photographer
Tourist cards (US Senders: I would love to receive city view cards if you have them!)
Unique holiday cards as the holiday arrives
Christmas cards in Nov/Dec/Jan

*Please save dog/cat/horse and Disney cards for someone who will truly appreciate them, thank you!
