Hi everyone!
My name is Paige and I work as a case management coordinator for refugees in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I recently graduated with degrees in international relations and Spanish from Michigan State University. I’ve always enjoyed learning about other countries, cultures, and languages, and Postcrossing allows me an opportunity to do so firsthand.
One of my favorite hobbies is literature and reading. You’ll often find me reading a large stack of novels and poetry. Though I enjoy reading current fiction and nonfiction, many of my favorites are the classics, especially the works of Jane Austen, Charlotte Bronte, Mary Shelley, W.B. Yeats, Emily Dickinson, John Steinbeck, and Leo Tolstoy. Having grown up in a musical family, I am passionate about all things music: listening to it, performing it, and attending live music events. When I’m not playing the flute, I love to listen to classical, jazz, folk, and more. My favorite musicians and artists include Bill Evans, John Coltrane, Frank Sinatra, Joni Mitchell, Blossom Dearie, Sarah Vaughan, Chet Baker, Bob Dylan, Emmylou Harris, and Taylor Swift (just to name a few!). Other hobbies I enjoy include photography, gardening, arts and crafts, attempting to learn to languages (I want to learn Ukrainian and Dari!), visiting art museums and cafes, and painting. When time and money allow, I love to travel. I’ve visited the UK and spent a summer working Spain; both places were wonderful and occupy a special place in my heart!
