About David...

Themes of the month are so fun! if you choose to participate, cool, no pressure.

March 2024 Theme of the month is "National Women's Month! Last year I used this theme and I was moved by many of the short stories and examples of the positive effect women have made in our life's. I am bringing this theme back and I hope to continue to receive stories about the differences women have made in your life.

Here is a little about me,
I operate a greenhouse in Jerome, Idaho where we grow annuals, perennials and hanging baskets I have been in this industry for over 35 years and will retire in July 2024. I will move to South Carolina where I will grow leafy greens and cut flowers for the local Farmers Markets.

I love the theater and have been in over 20 productions over the last 8 years, everything from stage plays, musicals and dinner theater. I love music and my favorite band is the Eagles and Hotel California is my favorite song. My favorite movie is Top Gun and my favorite color is Red.

My wife and I have been married 31 years in 2024. She Recently closed down her non profit organization, Anythings Pawasble, where she was committed to building humane intake centers for lost and abandoned pets in Southern Idaho. The world of animal rescue is a tough road to hoe filled with expenses and heartbreak. She will now take what she has learned these past 14 years to help make a positive change to laws and ordinances. We have 4 grown children and 7 Grand Children.

I have collected stamps since I was very young, my grandfather would take me to the local stamp shop back in the 60's and we would buy stamps together, I have such fond memories of that time. If you would like to exchange stamps please let me know via e-mail. I am sure we can work something out.

I really like some of the old b/w post cards I have been receiving which portrays life in the late 1890's and early 1900's. It is always cool to take a look at buildings, people and automobiles during this time period.

When you send a card, I would like to see a corner of your world (past or present) If I were a guest and you were showing me around, where would you take me? What would I see? Would it be in the country or the city? Would it be an important historical place? A beautiful park or something fun. I have enjoyed many of the responses I have gotten to these questions. Thanks for reading my bio!

Peace and Happiness,

David
