About Nikki...

Aloha everyone!

I'm Nikki and I am sending a bit of aloha to you all from Hawaii! Growing up as a US military child, I was blessed to travel all over the world. Sending postcards to friends and family was my one way of keeping in contact with them while I was away. I love the idea of someone receiving mail from a person who was thinking of them from afar, and took the time to send them a little note just for them! (I also love the idea that someone is getting mail that isn't junk mail or a bill. Haha!)

Here are some things about me that may inspire you to select what kind of postcards to send:
-Trains (I want to make a collage of trains for my nephew for his birthday in January! If you could tell him, "Happy Birthday Colin" in your language that would be so wonderful!)
-penguins
-Nature or scenic landscapes
-Iconic sightseeing places (Places you would recommend I visit if I ever am there)
-Food
-A map of your city/country/state/territory
-Funky-shaped-looking postcards (ONLY if you have. A friend of mine sent me a postcard in the shape of a snake once from Okinawa.)
-Holiday-specific cards (If you're country/city is celebrating a holiday or festival, I would love to learn about it! Or like if it's appropriate to the season at the time you send the postcard (ex: Valentine's day cards ON valentine's Day, not a Christmas card.)
-No AD (advertisement) postcards (unless the image is of something I may like)

It doesn't have to be one of the things listed above. I'll be happy just getting a postcard in the mail, honestly.

This is something fun I'd try, inspired by a fellow Postcrosser. For every month of the year, I'll have a theme(s) of postcards. If you have postcards w/ these images and themes, pls send them! Feel free to answer the writing prompts too!
January-Trains (for my nephew)
February-Love/Chocolate (I love chocolate. What is love or falling in love like to you?)
March-Disney (I used to work at Disney World. Favorite Disney movie and/or character?)
April-Flowers (any flower is fine! my favorites are sunflowers & yellow roses. yours?)
May-Yellow/Birthday (my birth Month! what's your favorite color?)
June-Zoo animals (your favorite animal?)
July-Superheros/hero (If the card is of your favorite superhero/hero, tell me "why?")
August-Coffee/Tea (Do you like drinking one or both?)
September-Clothes (dressing up builds my confidence. what does for you?)
October-Stars/Halloween (If you're willing to share, has a wish of yours come true?)
November-Roads/Pathways (Share your favorite or any an inspirational quote)
December-Snow/Christmas (What do you want for Christmas?)

Also, if you're from Indonesia, feel free to speak in Bahasa! I used to live there as a child, and remember a little bit.

If you have Instagram, feel free to send me your IG name on your postcard! I like tagging the people who send them to me.

Mahalo (thank you!)I look forward to receiving your postcard
