About Marianne...

I am 47 yrs old and live in the mountains of NC (near the Cherohala Skyway and Fontana Dam) with my husband Troy who is a paramedic. We are next to the Cherokee reservation and the Nantahala Forest.
We love to vacation at Topsail Island NC when we can.
We also run a cat rescue/sanctuary. www.catranchrescue.org and I love photography.I'm not great at it but I do enjoy it. I have many pics of our cats and other things which I sell at www.curiouscatphotos.com. I have anything from matted photos, post cards, blank note cards and even hand painted some blank note cards for fun. We usually sell them at festivals to help pay the bills.
I stay on FB where I post our rescue happenings and try to get sponsors for our 98 lifetime residents. Be sure to LIKE our fanpage under Cat Ranch Rescue Inc. :)
I have 2 kids from previous marriage and one granddaughter and I spend as much time with them as I can.
My interests include music, all kinds (just nothing real vulgar) from classical to rap.Ex: David Lanz, Evanescence, Natalie Grant, Plumb, Steven Curtis Chapman, Secret Garden, Paul Cardall, Kelly Clarkston, Toni Braxton, etc
Movies, all kinds and tv shows like House MD, Covert Affairs, Ice Road Truckers, Greys Anatomy, Private Practice, Desperate Housewives, DEXTER!, Breaking Bad, NCIS, Law and Order SVU, Too many to list. I love gardening, reading, photography, thrift stores, yard sales, painting, repurposing anything, writing, drawing, riding horses which I no longer do because of my back, taking care of the kitties! Swimming, camping, traveling, and cooking.
Can't wait to hear from others! :)My postcard collection started with my moms collection from when she traveled for 6 yrs with my dad across the US. Its also the one thing we can usually afford when we travel for a souvenir!
I enjoy postcards with places I have never seen that have info on the back of the location, or any pretty ones will do!Also love the funny cards. Would love to hear about what its like where you live.I'm not picky so send me whatever looks good to you.Happy Postcrossting!
