I live in Nottingham which is the home of the legendary Robin Hood, I worked as a sign language interpreter for deaf students at a local college but am now happily “retired”.

We enjoy travelling and love historical places both at home and abroad and it’s great to see places either virtually via cards or for real if possible. There are so many beautiful places and buildings in this world and this is my way of seeing the ones I will probably never ever get to. Quirky things and anything connected to the sea or rivers also interest me.

I'm happy to receive any card but one from your country or city would be especially welcome. I enjoy writing letters and learning about other peoples cultures and countries so if you want to tell me a little about your life, what book you’re reading or your favourite film I would love to hear about it. Perhaps you could tell me the name of the place or building etc on your card as I like to Google places and learn a little more about the place and country my card is from

It would be kinda cool to get cards of the 50 States in the US, as a child my sons obsession was to name as many flags of the world as possible so it would be nice to have some of those too if you have one of your country, just so I can tease him by seeing if he can remember them.
