I live on Sanibel Island, in Florida, where I am enjoying being near the beach, and a wonderful wildlife preserve. I live with with my husband and two bossy cats. I am retired from my work in human services in a state office that supports individuals with intellectual disabilities. My husband and I are birders. Most of the traveling we do involves looking at birds in a variety of places. I love to read, and it's always difficult to tear myself away from libraries and bookstores. I welcome book recommendations! Short hikes in natural places are my idea of a great time. I would love to get postcards of birds, animals and beautiful natural places from other countries. I would also enjoy postcards of whatever you consider to be special about the place you live, or just something that makes you laugh. If you have artistic talent, I would be honored to receive a hand made card. Please tell me a little about yourself and those things in your life that you are passionate about. For example, what would a perfect day for you consist of? I would also enjoy hearing about someone that you consider a hero, and why. (One of my own heroes is Jane Goodall.)
