I currently live on an Island with 22 people in the middle of the Bristol Channel, England. I love to swim all year round and I am an avid crafter, weaving with the wool from the Island sheep or making baskets from washed up rope on the beach. I like to crochet and want to teach myself to knit.

I am currently researching mail art so hopefully I can create my own individual postcards. I love handmade although it does take more time to create, but they are so appreciated. Self made cards are very welcome. We have our own postal system here on Lundy; the only Private postal system in the world, but please be patient as its quite slow. Post gets send to the mainland twice a week. Then it has to go to the UK post office to be sorted.

I am often found in the small recycling area on the Island, as I love to repurpose materials. I have recently got some old chair covers from the skip, that I am making into rugs on my peg loom. If you want to see more of my work go to www.meanderlings.com

We used to have our own currency on the Island, but it is not legal tender. it is called a Puffin and a Half Puffin. Lundy is Norse for Puffin Island.

I work on the Island either in the Tavern serving food and drink or on housekeeping. We have 23 properties on the Island that are rented out all year round. Its great to meet new people all the time.
